Welcome to Apothecary by Sona

Simple living is a brighter life.

A space for anyone who longs for a simpler, more natural and more intentional way of living.

Here we explore traditional wisdom, herbal ways, seasonal living and the quiet joy of a kinder home. Nothing here asks you to change everything at once. Take one recipe, one habit, one small ritual, and let it become yours.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is slow down.

A note from the kitchen

Hi, I'm Sona

Rooted in Jammu,
growing in California.

Old ways, carried across an ocean and brought into a slower, chemical-free life.

Jammu to California

Old wisdom. New days. A kinder you.

The heart of it

I grew up in Jammu, India, and now I live in California.

When I moved, I realised how much everyday wisdom I had carried with me without noticing. The way my family cared for the home, for each other and for themselves was never called "wellness". It was simply how life was lived.

Apothecary by Sona is where I'm bringing those old ways back into my own life, slowly and honestly, and moving toward a simpler, chemical-free home. I'm learning as I go, and sharing every recipe along the way.

This isn't about perfection, fear of modern life, or turning every tradition into a rule. It's about learning, choosing carefully, and finding a rhythm that feels more human.

The seasonal kitchen

Cook with
the season.

The kitchen changes when the light changes. We let our routines change with it.

A year in the kitchen

Notice the season, then follow it.

Seasonal living doesn't mean changing your whole life every few months. It begins with noticing the light, the weather, what's growing, and the small changes around the home.

In season nowAutumn

Traditional use is shared as context, not proof, and nothing here is medical advice. Patch-test anything new, and check with your doctor if you're pregnant, on medication or have a health condition.
